Frequently asked questions...
Where can I see you?
I work in private practice at the following locations:
- The Bowlby Centre, 1 Highbury Crescent, London N5 1RN (opposite Highbury & Islington station - Victoria Line and Overground; with parking available in the same street. Click here for map).
- St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex TN38 (10 minutes from St Leonards Warrior Square station; with free parking available in nearby streets).
How long is a session?
Psychotherapy sessions last for 50 minutes. Sessions take place at the same time each week.
What happens at our first session?
Our first session is a chance for you to begin to describe your situation; for me to assess how to help you; and for us to decide the best way to proceed. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask any questions. Together, we would agree a contract, which would mean we would set a day and time to work together and this time would be reserved for you each week.
What happens if I miss or cancel a session?
For psychotherapy to be effective, sessions need a regular commitment. Payment is due for any sessions missed or cancelled by you (unless notified in advance, such as in the case of holidays). You do not pay for sessions when either of us are on holiday..
How do I make an appointment?
If you are considering beginning psychotherapy and would like to make an appointment with me in London or St Leonards, please email me from the link on this page, or phone me on 07986 850882. Please do leave a message if I am unable to answer and I will get back to you as soon as possible (maintaining confidentiality at all times).
